Job Title: Deputy Director of Adult Social Care
Contract Length: 3-month initial interim contract
Location: London Local Authority
Working arrangements: Hybrid, on-site 2 to 3 days a week
Pay rate: £650 per day, full-time
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
 
Baltimore are working with a local authority client in London in their search for an experienced adult social care professional and leader to take up their Deputy Director post in support of the statutory Director of Adult Social Care Services.

Please note, for this role our client requires a Qualified Social Worker.

Your duties as Deputy Director:

• Support the statutory DASS in fulfilling their responsibilities, acting as key advisor and strategic leader of the adult social care directorate.
• Provider strategic oversight and leadership of the councils localities, driving continuous improvement and service excellence for the communities they service.
• Work across these localities as a well as external partners in the assurance of compliance within statutory, regulatory and organisational standards.
• Play a key role in the delivery of improvement services for the council and the implementation of the directorates Improvement Plan for Adult Social Care.

 
Experience needed as Deputy Director:

• Be a Qualified Social Worker with registered Social Worker England status.
• Experienced in leading social care teams at Deputy Director / Assistant Director level.
• In-depth knowledge of social care legislation, quality assurance frameworks and performance management methods.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work with providers and partnership organisations.
• Able to provide minimum two years worth of references.
