I am currently working with a local authority who are seeking an experienced Delivery and Compliance Manager to lead compliance and investment programmes across their housing portfolio. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, driving service improvements, and managing major investment projects.

About the Delivery and Compliance Manager role:

• Lead and manage a compliance team and asbestos service, ensuring statutory obligations are met (gas servicing, fire safety, asbestos).
• Oversee delivery of major investment and modernisation programmes, including carbon reduction initiatives.
• Manage and monitor budgets of circa £20m per annum, ensuring value for money and financial control.
• Develop and review asset management strategies to optimise housing stock performance.
• Audit and validate contractor performance, challenging inefficiencies and driving continuous improvement.
• Produce accurate reports on project expenditure, milestones, and risk analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Strategic Manager and contribute to policy development and governance.

About you as Delivery and Compliance Manager:

• Relevant professional qualification and evidence of continuous professional development.
• Strong understanding of building technology, housing regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record of managing change and delivering major programmes in a housing or asset management environment.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage significant budgets and deliver projects to exacting timeframes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with credibility at senior levels.
