Step into a Building Surveyor role where you’ll play a crucial part in reviewing, assessing and improving major works delivered across social housing estates.
Reporting into the Design & Delivery Manager, you’ll oversee post‑project reviews, defect identification, condition assessments and recommendations that directly shape future investment and asset strategy.
You’ll work closely with internal teams, contractors and residents—driving quality, compliance and continuous improvement across key planned maintenance programmes. If you want to make a visible impact on safety, standards and value for residents, this is the role for you.
Your role as Building Surveyor:
• Survey completed major works to identify defects and remedial needs
• Assess condition, maintenance issues and future planned works
• Review QHIP projects through desktop assessments and post inspections
• Prepare clear reports, recommendations and schedules for stakeholders
• Manage defect rectification and contract compliance from start to finish
Your experience as a Building Surveyor:
• Strong background in housing maintenance and refurbishment
• Degree‑level education in a construction discipline or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and contractor relationships
• Experience preparing clear, concise technical reports
• Confident dealing with residents, contractors and stakeholders
