An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced property professional to support a diverse public sector property portfolio, ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards across a wide range of assets.
Role Overview – Building Surveyor:

• Lead on planned and reactive maintenance programmes across council-owned properties.
• Deliver capital repairs projects (£100k+), managing procurement and implementation.
• Ensure asset compliance and safety, maintaining property data and performance metrics.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate across departments to drive service improvements and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as a Building Surveyor within a public sector or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of property compliance, maintenance, and capital project delivery.
• Skilled in contract management, procurement, and digital property systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel across the South of England as required.

Qualifications:

• Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience working at Building Surveyor level or equivalent is essential.
