If you’re driven by delivering high‑quality building fabric projects that keep vital public buildings open, safe and compliant, this is the role that will put you right at the centre of impact. As Lead Project Building Surveyor, you will report into a senior surveying lead, take responsibility for complex projects from feasibility to completion and directly manage professional surveyors delivering work across a diverse corporate estate. You’ll own standards, budgets, programmes and outcomes and you’ll be trusted to lead.

Your role as Lead Project Building Surveyor:

• Lead delivery of building fabric projects including maintenance, refurbishment and compliance works
• Manage and mentor Building Surveyors, driving performance, quality and professional standards
• Own projects end‑to‑end – feasibility, design, procurement, contract administration and handover
• Control budgets and programmes, ensuring value for money and on‑time delivery
• Act as the technical authority, providing expert advice and resolving complex building issues

Your experience as Lead Project Building Surveyor:

• Extensive post‑charter experience delivering projects across commercial or public sector estates
• Strong contract administration skills, including schedules of rates and contractor performance
• Deep knowledge of compliance, Building Regulations, CDM and health & safety
• Proven leadership managing surveyors or project professionals through busy workloads
• Confidence advising stakeholders, handling disputes and representing services at senior level
