Approved Mental Health Professional

Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP)
£46.75 per hour
Inside IR35 (Via Umbrella)
Hybrid – on site 3-4 days per week
North East England
 
 
Main Duties:

• Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and manage referrals.
• Provide duty AMHP cover, working closely with colleagues across adult social care and health services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with service users, ensuring individual needs are recognised and met.
• Offer guidance and support to relatives and carers in their caring roles.

 
 
Experience & Skills Required:

• Qualified Social Worker and AMHP, with a current or recent warrant.
• Practised as an AMHP within the past 12 months.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and best practice.
• Experience of handling complex cases and maintaining a varied caseload.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an AMHP role.
