We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advisory Teacher to join our Home Tuition Team within the Specialist Education and Training Support Service (SEaTSS).
This role focuses on supporting children and young people unable to attend school, ensuring they continue to access a high-quality education either at home, online, or in person.
 
About the Role

• Teach Maths from Entry Level and PKSS through to GCSE Higher.
• Deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to students’ needs.
• Assess progress and contribute to raising attainment.
• Provide advice and guidance to tutors.
• Lead on a core subject area (English, Maths, or Science).
• Work with schools, families, health, and social care to support re-integration.

The role will also involve attending meetings, writing reports, and occasionally working evenings. Some travel beyond the Borough may be required.
 
About You
We are looking for a:

• Qualified Teacher (QTS) with strong Maths teaching skills.
• Experienced practitioner across KS1–4.
• Teacher with knowledge of SEND and child development.
• Strong communicator able to work with families, schools, and other professionals.
• Flexible, creative, and committed to inclusion and safeguarding.

IT competence (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online platforms) is essential. A driving licence is an advantage.
