Are you a Data Analyst who wants to be right at the heart of transforming how a large public sector organisation uses data to drive decisions? Reporting into a Transformation Programme Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a modern data strategy, from building the technical data infrastructure, through to creating insightful Power BI dashboards that drive evidence-based decisions across services.
If you’re excited by modern platforms like Microsoft Fabric, SQL and Power BI, and want your work to have a real impact on residents and communities, this is the role for you.

Your Role as the Data Analyst:

  • Drive the organisation’s data strategy, turning raw data into actionable insights that power better decisions
  • Build and maintain robust data infrastructure and pipelines, integrating multiple back‑office and customer‑facing systems
  • Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and performance reports (KPIs, statutory reporting, benchmarking) for a range of services
  • Champion data quality and governance, setting high standards so data is accurate, usable and shareable across the organisation
  • Lead end‑to‑end data and insight projects, working closely with stakeholders, product teams and external suppliers to deliver real business value

Your previous experience as a Data Analyst:

  • Extensive experience working with complex data sets, using them to spot patterns, trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong hands‑on skills with SQL and Power BI (bonus if you also use R or Python for analysis and modelling).
  • Proven track record of presenting insightful analysis to senior stakeholders, explaining technical findings in clear, simple language.
  • Ability to extract, clean, link and model data from multiple systems to answer specific business problems at pace.
  • Background in working within cross‑functional teams in large or public sector organisations, with a passion for continuous improvement and service transformation.
