Are you an experienced Team Manager – Family Help looking to play a pivotal role within a newly formed service at the heart of children’s social care reform? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking authority where you will lead a team of social workers through a period of transformation, reporting directly into a recently appointed Service Manager. As a Team Manager – Family Help, you will have the chance to shape practice, influence service delivery and help embed the Family Help reforms from the ground up.
This Team Manager – Family Help opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front, supporting practitioners to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and families whilst navigating a developing service model. If you have experience across safeguarding, assessments, CIN and Child Protection, this could be the perfect next contract for you.
Your Role as Team Manager – Family Help:
• Lead and support a team of 5 Social Workers and 1 Targeted Help Officer
• Drive high-quality practice across Assessment, Safeguarding, CIN and Child Protection services
• Provide effective supervision, performance management and professional development to your team
• Support the implementation of new Family Help reforms and evolving service requirements
• Ensure children and families receive timely, effective interventions and positive outcomes
Your Previous Experience as Team Manager – Family Help:
• Proven experience working as a Team Manager within Children’s Social Care
• Strong operational knowledge of Assessment, Safeguarding, CIN and Child Protection services
• Experience working within Family Help reforms or similar transformation programmes is highly desirable
• Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
• Ability to lead high-performing teams within a Local Authority environment
