  • Drive innovation and service transformation in a challenging financial and political environment
  • Provide expert advice and briefings to senior stakeholders, councillors, and system partners
  • Oversee performance, governance, and commissioning to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Champion collaboration across systems, including ICBs, voluntary sector and partners – supporting integrated pathways for children and maternity care

Your previous experience as a Consultant in Public Health:

  • Proven senior leadership experience within complex public sector organisations
  • Strong track record of delivering change and improving population outcomes, ideally within children’s, early years, or maternity services
  • Expertise in data, intelligence, and evidence-based decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at board and political level with confidence
  • Registered or eligible Public Health Specialist (GMC/GDC/UKPHR)

In this Consultant in Public Health role, you will also deputise at senior level, support workforce development, and shape long-term strategies that directly impact communities. Your ability to balance financial risk, governance, and innovation will be critical in ensuring sustainable, high-performing services.

If you’re a forward-thinking Consultant in Public Health ready to step into a visible, influential leadership role – with a passion for improving outcomes in Children’s and Maternity care – this is your opportunity to make a real difference.
