Step into a high‑impact role where your expertise directly influences capital receipts, strategic priorities and governance outcomes. As a Disposals Surveyor, you’ll report into a senior programme lead and take ownership of a varied and high‑profile portfolio of surplus assets, managing transactions from inception through to completion. You’ll be trusted to balance commercial drive with public accountability, leading negotiations, advising senior stakeholders and ensuring every disposal stands up to scrutiny.
This is a role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys autonomy and wants to see clear, tangible outcomes from their work. You’ll be operating at the centre of decision‑making, handling sensitive disposals, shaping strategy and delivering results that matter.
Your Role as Disposals Surveyor:
• Lead end‑to‑end freehold disposals, from strategy through to completion
• Deliver best consideration, negotiating with purchasers, developers and agents
• Ensure full statutory compliance including governance, audit trails and approvals
• Manage sensitive stakeholder engagement, including members and internal services
• Produce clear, confident recommendations and professional advice for decision‑makers
You’ll be the go‑to specialist, trusted to manage complexity, resolve challenges and keep momentum across a busy caseload. As a Disposals Surveyor, your judgement and commercial awareness will be key to delivering both financial and strategic outcomes.
Your previous experience as a Disposals Surveyor:
• MRICS or FRICS qualified with a strong professional track record
• Proven experience in property disposals, valuation or estates management
• Deep understanding of public sector governance and transparency requirements
• Confident in negotiation and commercial decision‑making
• Able to interpret legal documentation, title issues and planning policy
