Reporting to the Assistant Director and take ownership of high‑profile transformation activity that directly impacts people, families and communities. You will be trusted to lead complex change, influence system partners and drive innovation at pace — all while ensuring value for money and measurable outcomes.

Your role as Senior Commissioner – Adult Learning Disabilities:

• Lead service transformation for adults with learning disabilities and autism, from review through to recommissioning
• Drive co‑production with people who draw on services, carers and providers to shape inclusive community offers
• Own commissioning strategy, ensuring services prevent escalation and promote independence
• Deliver value for money, managing budgets, specifications and performance with confidence
• Influence across health, voluntary sector and system partners to deliver sustainable change

Your experience as a Senior Commissioner – Adult Learning Disabilities:

• Proven local authority commissioning experience within learning disability and/or autism services
• Strong track record of transformational change and improving service outcomes
• Confidence leading complex procurement and contract management activity
• Ability to work at pace, managing multiple stakeholders and senior decision‑makers
• Excellent analytical, reporting and presentation skills, including business cases
