£370 per day
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working – 3 days on site / remainder remote

This is a rare opportunity for a Project Manager – Mechanical & Electrical to step into a newly created interim role where you will genuinely shape how capital projects are conceived, governed and delivered. Reporting into a senior estates lead, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of mechanical projects, most valued under £500k, giving you real end‑to‑end accountability rather than being a small cog in a large programme.
You will be trusted to set direction from day one – developing early‑stage designs, driving governance approvals and leading schemes through design and tender with pace and precision. If you enjoy autonomy, visibility and the satisfaction of seeing projects move quickly from concept to delivery, this role offers exactly that.

Your role as Project Manager – Mechanical & Electrical:

• Leading mechanical design development and producing robust early‑stage cost estimates
  • Navigating and owning internal governance and approvals with confidence
  • Writing clear technical specifications and managing the tender process end to end
  • Driving projects through to RIBA Stage 4, ensuring quality, compliance and value
  • Managing multiple workstreams while balancing site presence and remote working

Your previous experience as Project Manager – Mechanical & Electrical:

• Degree‑qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (essential)
  • Proven delivery of mechanical projects from design through to completion
  • Strong working knowledge of tendering processes and contractor management
  • Ability to operate comfortably across office, site and home working
  • A practical, delivery‑focused mindset suited to fast‑moving capital projects
