As the Operations Manager (Adults Services and Wellbeing), you’ll work closely with a Service Manager, lead multi‑professional teams, and drive high‑impact transformation across localities. You’ll oversee regulated services, ensure statutory responsibilities are met, and play a crucial part in embedding a strengths‑based, person‑centred operating model. Your Role as Operations Manager (Adults Services and Wellbeing):

  • Strengths‑based service delivery – Lead high‑performing teams to deliver efficient, person‑centred practice aligned to local needs and statutory duties.
  • Service redesign & innovation – Drive preventative, early‑intervention approaches and personalised care models that build independence and community connection.
  • Partnership leadership – Build strong relationships across health, third sector, community groups and provider services to support integrated delivery.
  • Risk, safeguarding & quality – Ensure safety, lead safeguarding activity, and maintain regulatory compliance across CQC‑registered services.
  • Budget & performance accountability – Manage resources, deliver budget plans, and achieve performance outcomes for your portfolio area.

Your Experience as an Operations Manager (Adults Services and Wellbeing):

  • Leadership & change management – Proven ability to mobilise teams, lead service improvement and manage large-scale organisational change.
  • Adult social care expertise – Strong knowledge of ASC legislation, prevention agendas, and integrated health and social care delivery.
  • Stakeholder influence – Skilled at negotiation, partnership working, and navigating politically sensitive environments.
  • Professional practice background – Evidence of recent experience in social work practice and/or regulated adult social care services.
  • Operational and financial management – Strong budget management skills, performance oversight and practical use of IT tools, including Microsoft Office.
