Are you ready to step into a senior technical leadership role where you’ll shape the safety, quality and future of thousands of homes? As the Senior Area and Stock Conditions Surveyor, you’ll report directly into the Asset & Operations Manager and provide expert direction across one of the council’s four major housing areas.
You’ll lead on regulatory compliance, stock condition strategy, improvement programmes, energy efficiency ambitions and high‑value capital investment decisions.

Your Role as Senior Area and Stock Conditions Surveyor:
• Lead technical standards, survey quality and data integrity
• Diagnose complex maintenance and building pathology issues
• Drive Decent Homes, HHSRS and energy‑efficiency compliance
• Manage contractors, programmes and area‑based maintenance plans
• Deliver high‑impact stock condition, lifecycle and improvement projects
Your Experience as a Senior Area and Stock Conditions Surveyor:
• Extensive building surveying experience with RICS or CIOB membership
• Strong knowledge of HHSRS, Decent Homes, CDM and building regulations
• Expertise in contract management including JCT/NEC
• Proven experience leading planned maintenance and asset programmes
• High‑level skills in diagnostics, feasibility, specifications and stakeholder engagement
