This interim role will sit within the Improvement and Inspection Readiness Service, driving system performance and ensuring readiness for regulatory scrutiny.

This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced ControCC specialist to ensure stability, compliance, and a high‑performing system environment that enables insight‑driven operational decision‑making across Children’s Services.

About your role as ControCC System Developer – Children’s Social Care

  • You will be responsible for leading the configuration, development, and optimisation of the ControCC finance and payments system in line with recent upgrades and revised workflow mapping.
  • Working closely with Liquidlogic colleagues, operational teams, and finance, you will ensure that the system accurately supports Children’s Social Care practice, financial processes, and inspection expectations.
  • This role requires someone with deep technical knowledge of ControCC within a Children’s Social Care setting, capable of operating autonomously, picking up complex system logic, and implementing improvements at pace.
  • Leading the technical development, configuration, and enhancement of the ControCC system to ensure it aligns with updated Children’s Social Care pathways, workflows, and finance arrangements.
  • Supporting system remapping work following Liquidlogic upgrades and changes linked to national Social Care Reforms and Families First.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving system performance issues, data gaps, and configuration errors.
  • Providing specialist advice to operational managers, finance teams, and performance colleagues on how ControCC data and workflows impact practice and reporting.

Your experience as ControCC System Developer – Children’s Social Care

  • Extensive hands‑on experience with ControCC, specifically within Children’s Social Care finance, payments, and commissioning workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Liquidlogic LCS/EHM and how it integrates and aligns with ControCC processes.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering system changes following platform upgrades or service redesign.
  • Knowledge of Children’s Social Care practice pathways, including Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children financial processes.
  • Experience supporting inspection readiness or working within an improvement‑focused service.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, including interpreting system logic, testing configuration, and implementing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high‑quality system changes at pace.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues for non‑technical stakeholders.
