Hybrid (Initial 2-3 days onsite with scope for flexibility)

Initial interim 3-6 month contract with scope for extension

Following investment into their service, my client is seeking an experienced leader within Children with Disabilities services to join their experienced leadership team driving key priorities in improved outcomes for Children & Families.

About your role as Head of Children with Disabilities:

• You will be reporting to the Assistant Director of Children’s Services but responsible for leading CWD services across the directorate from Assessment to permanency for young people up to 18 years of age
• You will work collaboratively with partners across Adults services to support with preparation for adulthood and dovetail with SEND services to deliver positive outcomes in a multi-agency setting.
• Offer strategic leadership of CWD service improvement with direct oversight of Service Managers and their respective teams

Your required experience as Head of Children with Disabilities:

• Degree qualification in Social Work
• Good understanding of application of social care model within CWD services
• Embedded understanding and experience of CWD
• Experience working in a multi agency context.
• Head of Service experience in CWD
• Available references for most recent 2 year’s roles.
