Are you passionate about safeguarding children and driving positive change? Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead their Children’s Services Safeguarding Partnership.
 
This is a high-profile role that requires strategic leadership, collaboration, and innovation to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people across the council in line with their improvement agenda.

About your role as a Children’s Safeguarding Partnership Manager:

  • Oversee the effective operation of the Safeguarding Partnership, supporting statutory functions.
  • Manage a multi-agency budget of approximately £375,000.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders across agencies, influencing and guiding safeguarding work by providing expert advice to senior officers, elected members, and partner agencies.
  • Champion continuous improvement and ensure compliance with national standards.
  • Lead on business planning, performance management, and organisational development.
  • Ensure the voices of children inform policy and practice.
  • Represent the council at local and national forums.
  • Lead strategic partnership work to improve safeguarding outcomes.
  • Commission and oversee high-quality case reviews and audits.

 
Your required experience as a Children’s Safeguarding Partnership Manager:

  • Recognised Social Work Qualification and active registration with SWE
  • Ability to deliver excellent practice standards within the legal framework.
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role in a local authority setting
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams while embedding Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  • Experience driving change and innovation in safeguarding services.
  • Proven collaboration across boundaries to create joined-up services.
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility, and resilience in a complex multi-agency environment.
  • 5 years references and enhanced DBS
