Finance Management Systems Accountant (Oracle Fusion)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 3-month initial contract with likely extension
A London-based council is seeking an experienced Finance Management Systems Accountant to join their Strategic Finance team on an initial 3-month contract. This role focuses on supporting and enhancing Oracle Fusion (ERP & EPM) in a complex, high-volume finance environment.
The Role
You will support the Oracle Cloud Support Team Leader in maintaining and developing the organisation’s financial systems, ensuring they accurately reflect structures, enable effective budget monitoring, and support statutory and management reporting.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing system support across Oracle ERP & EPM, including user setup, access review and resolving system queries.
  • Maintaining master data, updating segment codes and ensuring financial structures align with business requirements.
  • Supporting budget monitoring and development processes, including staffing establishment reconciliations.
  • Monitoring system interfaces and maintaining processes for income and expenditure.
  • Preparing financial and system statistical data as required.
  • Supporting audit queries and contributing to system upgrade/testing activity.
  • Month-end responsibilities (EPM roll forward or ERP GL/Subledger close) if operating at senior (POA) level.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience working with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP and/or EPM).
  • Background in local government or wider public sector finance.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and reporting.
  • Confident maintaining financial hierarchies, user roles, and workflow structures.
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with finance business partners and system users.
