Baltimore Consulting are supporting a London based Local Authority who are seeking an Interim Workplace Project Lead.  Reporting to the Head of Workplace, you will be responsible for managing key workplace change and relocation projects across the council’s corporate estate, ensuring delivery against time, budget, and quality expectations.
 
Your Role as the Workplace Project Lead:

  • Lead and deliver workplace and relocation projects across the council’s portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Property, FM, IT, HR, and service teams to align projects with operational and strategic goals.
  • Manage project governance, risk, and reporting frameworks, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
  • Support staff engagement and communication during periods of change.
  • Embed inclusivity, sustainability, and health & safety principles throughout all activities.

 
Your Experience as Workplace Project Lead:

  • Strong project management experience within workplace, FM, or property-related settings.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging at all levels.
  • Proven track record in delivering refurbishment, relocation, or workplace transformation projects.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and compliance within a corporate property context.
  • Experience in local government or a large, complex organisation.
  • Structured and proactive approach to managing risk, budgets, and timelines.
  • Previous experience within Facilities Management, Property, or Workplace Strategy is desirable.
