An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Private Provider in the West Midlands for an RI for Children’s Residential. You will report to the Company Director and the key focus of this role will be to help set up one Children’s Home which is fully staffed and currently being set up with Ofsted.

About your duties as the Responsible Individual – Child Residential, Children’s Social Care: 

  • To lead and manage the development and shaping of the homes, ensuring dynamic plans for the children and young people.
  • Ensure the Home is Ofsted inspection ready
  • Responsibility for identifying the complex needs of the children and young people and providing additional therapeutic support when required.
  • Safeguarding and promotion of well-being for those who reside within the home.
  • Ensuring the home complies with the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)
  • Ensuring that the staff have training and development opportunities to enable them to be fully skilled within their fields and understand what Ofsted “Good” looks like

 
Your experience needed as the Responsible Individual – Child Residential, Children’s Social Care: 

  • Ideally have a Level 5 Children’s Home Management Qualification.
  • Must have been a Responsible Individual (with Ofsted) previously.
  • Proven track record improving Children’s Home practice
  • Must have experience of leading a home through an Ofsted inspection.
