Strategic Programme Lead – Families First (Interim)
Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week, South East England)
6-month contract (potential to extend)
£550–£600 per day (up to £660 considered, via framework)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced transformation leader to drive a Families First Reform programme in its infancy. You’ll scope, design, and embed new ways of working across children’s services, with a strong focus on front door, early help, and family safeguarding to lead major change across the Children’s Services directorate.
 
Your key responsibilities as Strategic Programme Lead – Families First:

  • Scoping and evaluating current practice.
  • Building project teams and piloting new approaches.
  • Embedding the Family Safeguarding model.
  • Leading transformation with partners across health, police, and social care.
  • Delivering measurable change at pace within 6 months.

 
Your required experience as Strategic Programme Lead – Families First:

  • Expertise in transformation within children’s services (front door/early help focus).
  • Strong track record of leading social care reforms or major change programmes.
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and cross-partnerships.
  • Full references for the past 5 years and an Enhanced DBS
  • Social care qualification desirable but not essential.
