2024: Baltimore Wrapped

Here at Baltimore Consulting, we make a difference to people’s lives within the community with every placement we make; it’s in our DNA, and it’s something we are incredibly proud of. We’ve been fortunate enough to work with clients all over the country in 2024, supporting some difficult projects and fulfilling demand to ensure that vulnerable people within education and social care receive positive outcomes.

Take a look at our highest demand areas of 2024 in our Baltimore Wrapped series:

Education

Baltimore Consulting have a highly experienced Education team, who specialise in both senior and niche roles on an interim and permanent basis within Local Authorities, Trusts & Schools nationwide.

Having established ourselves as leading niche suppliers, typically, our contracts range from middle management through to board level. This includes SEND Case Officers through to experienced Directors on our operational posts.

Local Authorities trust us to provide the support they need to secure the most niche, highly qualified professionals in the marketplace and having placed with 80% of Local Authorities across the UK, our consultants take great pride in building long lasting relationships to support our communities.

There were 1.5 million pupils in England with special educational needs in 2023, up 1% on the previous year. Numbers are on the rise, and our team have supported 107 professionals secure roles within SEND in 2024, helping local authorities keep up with growing demand and ensuring that children receive the education they deserve.

Social Care

Our highly experienced Social Care division work nationally within adult social care, children’s services and social housing.

We are the go to recruitment partner for local authorities in supporting roles from Team Manager through to Director level; whilst also assisting with other more autonomous and niche requirements such as Project and Programme Managers, Consultants, Advisors, AMHPs and BIAs.

In 2024, we supported a multitude of projects within the social care directorate, but we saw an influx in demand for Quality Assurance and Improvement, Corporate Parenting and Commissioning requirements across the board.

It’s unsurprising; early intervention services have experienced a 46% drop in funding over the last year. There was a 3.5% increase in child protection enquiries driven by these preventative service cuts.

Our work is helping vulnerable adults and children receive the quality care they deserve, helping prevent them from slipping through the net.

In 2024, we have begun supporting Local Authorities to fulfil CAHMS referrals, after a record 1.4 million children and young people sought NHS support in 2023. Over the last 5 years alone, the number of school-aged children being referred to child and adolescent mental health services has increased by a massive 76%.

At Baltimore Consulting, we pride ourselves on our consultative approach and consistently go above and beyond for our clients and candidates alike to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties.

If you’re interested in working with us in 2025 and beyond, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
