Inside IR35 - £35 -£42 per hour (37.5 hour working week -flexible hours) inside IR35 via umbrella
Full time - Greater Manchester

Baltimore Consulting Group is working with a local authority in Greater Manchester to appoint an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to design and deliver the improvement plan within a 5/6 bed supported living unit for children over 16 years. Alongside core operational responsibilities and duties, you will work with the local authority lead to train, coach and mentor existing and new staff to improve the quality of social care practice.

The children in this unit would benefit from a leader experienced working with children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties but there are no severe learning and behavioural challenges.

You will focus on creating a nurturing home environment and lay the groundwork following this units inadequate inspection, setting the standard for the future. You will also play a pivotal role in the recruitment of the permanent post holder in 6 months time- the successful interim applicant will also be invited to apply for the permanent role.

This Registered Manager (Children's) role will include:

• Managing a rota team up to 8 staff members
• Undertake and accurately record monthly reflective/case supervisions with all social work staff in the team
• Review quality of social work practice and deliver training to mentor and coach staff
• Work alongside case workers and the local authority to support with long term care plans.
• Attend regular management organization meetings and run regular weekly and informative unit meetings for all staff

Essential experience for Registered Manager (Children's):

• Recent operational experienced in Registered Children's Home Manager post - deputy manager will be considered but must be able to demonstrate supervisory experience.
• Level 5 Management Health and Social Care/Residential
• Social care qualified and registered (HCPC registration) is desired but not essential
• Ability to identity staff development and training needs
