Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of housing projects, ensuring they meet quality and cost standards. You will have extensive knowledge and experience in executing fire safety construction projects, particularly for buildings classified as ‘higher-risk’ under the Building Safety Act 2022. You will have a proven track record of managing projects that involve a multi-disciplinary team of consultants.

Your role as Project Manager – Major Works:

  • Manage and monitor project performance to achieve high resident satisfaction.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and manage the input of contractors, consultants, and team members.
  • Handle budget responsibilities for assigned projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide accurate housing advice and support to residents, ensuring customer care standards are met.

Your previous experience as Project Manager – Major Works:

  • A qualification in Building, Housing, or a related field (e.g., HND/NVQ Level 4 or CIOB). Membership in professional bodies like CIOB/RICS is desirable.
  • Significant experience in a technical, property services environment, particularly in construction, refurbishment, and investment projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Building, Contracts, and Housing Legislation. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle conflict situations.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering fire safety construction work to buildings, including understanding the regulatory process for work on buildings designated as ‘higher-risk buildings’ under the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Experience in managing projects involving a multi-disciplinary consultant team.
  • Willingness to work outside normal office hours when required.
