The Role

My client an NHS Trust based in London is looking for an experienced Commissioning Professional to support managers and staff across their mental health and learning disability services. As the Commissioning Manager you would be responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the commissioning procedures for the division, providing advice and support to fellow senior managers.

This is an exciting opportunity to define current processes, encourage discussions and advise colleagues on best practice.

Additional key responsibilities include:
  • To commission high quality specialised mental health and learning disability services
  • Lead contract discussions utilising appropriate contract levers to improve quality and outcomes, reaching agreement with providers and ensure ongoing contract monitoring and review
  • To ensure that clinical leadership is central to the delivery of all NHS Commissioning Board activities

As the successful candidate you will have/be:
  • Senior manager experience within the NHS
  • Have experience of working with multiple stake-holders
  • Have awareness of NHS infrastructure, governance and healthcare policies
  • Have experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures
